Jonathan Boulet - Trounce (selected by Grim) - Jonathan Boulet is an Australian folk-pop musician. Boulet wrote, recorded, produced and played almost every instrument in his small garage studio for his debut self-titled album released in 2009. Trounce comes from upcoming second album We Keep The Beat, Found The Sound, See The Need, Start The Heart which is out via Modular Recordings, June 2012.
Broken Hands - Sorrow (selected by Kate) - Broken hands hail from Faversham, Kent and comprise of Dale Norton (vocals), Jamie Darby (guitar), Thomas Ford (Bass) and Callum Norton (Drums). Formed only recently through a shared passion and fascination of the Blues and live music, Broken Hands play a raw and an energetic mix of Alternative Indie/Blues. They've also landed themselves the gig of a lifetime, supporting fellow Rock n' Roller's, Band of Skulls. I'll be seeing them perform live tonight, so I'll let you know what I think!
Garfunkel and Oates - Save The Rich (selected by Matt) - OK, so I read the title, giggled and listened to the album. Garfunkel And Oates are a comedy duo comprised of actresses Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome who started writing songs together in 2007. Save The Rich is a "'We are the World'-style parody about the current economic crisis.".
